Background:Matrix metalloproteinase-7 proenzyme (proMMP-7) is a 30.47 kDa matrix metalloproteinases with 273 amino acid residues. MMP-7 restricted production by normal mucosal and exocrine gland epithelial cells, as well as by carcinoma cells. Functionally, it involved breakdown of extracellular matrix (casein, gelatins of types I, III, IV, and V, and fibronectin) in normal physiological processes and disease processes. MMP-7 is contributed to early tumor development during carcinogenesis. proMMP7 activation by trypsin occurs via an intermediate cleaved at Lys50-Asn51.

- Lyophilized protein should be stored at ≤ -20°C, stable for one year after receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at ≤ -20°C for 3-6 months. Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles and use a manual defrost freezer.
- Reconstitution
- Reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile water at a concentration of greater than 100 µg/mL, and incubate the stock solution at room temperature for at least 20 mins to ensure sufficient re-dissolved. Do Not Vortex! Vigorous shaking may impair the biological activity of the protein.
