Immortalized immune cell lines are typically derived from human or animal hematopoietic cells, tumor cells, or other immune-related cell types and acquire stable proliferative capacity after long-term culture.
These cell lines offer advantages including easy maintenance, high expansion capacity, low batch-to-batch variability, and suitability for standardized experiments. Therefore, they are widely used in studies of immune signaling pathways, cell proliferation, cell death, drug screening, gene expression, and transfection experiments.
