Product Introduction:
PerFect Mammalian DNA Transfection Reagent is a pre-optimized and refined calcium phosphate-based DNA transfection reagent featuring a novel chemical formulation, specifically developed for efficient DNA delivery in mammalian cells. Compared with conventional calcium phosphate transfection methods, PerFect uses an optimized calcium ion concentration to maintain good DNA transfection efficiency while significantly reducing the cellular burden associated with calcium salts, providing an efficient, gentle, and economical DNA transfection solution for mammalian cells.
The basic principle of PerFect is to utilize calcium ions and phosphate ions to form DNA-calcium phosphate complexes, allowing negatively charged DNA to be effectively condensed into particle structures suitable for cellular uptake. The optimized PerFect formulation enables better control of complex formation, promoting DNA accumulation at the cell surface and facilitating cellular uptake and intracellular delivery, thereby enabling subsequent exogenous gene expression.
Compared with conventional calcium phosphate precipitation methods, PerFect uses a pre-optimized chemical system that reduces dependence on complex precipitation conditions and manual operating experience. Its refined and optimized formulation helps minimize experimental variations caused by factors such as calcium concentration, pH, and precipitation state during conventional calcium phosphate transfection, thereby improving the stability and reproducibility of transfection results.
PerFect is suitable for both transient and stable transfection. Transient transfection can be used for target gene expression, reporter gene assays, promoter activity analysis, and protein expression, while stable transfection can be used to establish stable cell lines, conduct long-term gene function studies, and construct cellular models. Researchers can therefore select the appropriate DNA transfection mode according to their experimental objectives.
PerFect is also highly economical. 1.0 mL of PerFect reagent can support approximately 666 transfections in a 24-well plate or approximately 333 transfections in a 6-well plate, making it suitable for routine DNA transfection, repeated experiments, and large-scale cell-based studies, while helping reduce the cost per transfection.
Product Advantages
Pre-optimized Calcium Phosphate System
PerFect uses a pre-optimized and refined calcium phosphate chemical system, with key parameters of the conventional calcium phosphate transfection method optimized to enable more stable and controllable formation of DNA-calcium phosphate complexes while reducing dependence on experimental experience.
Low-Calcium Formulation for Reduced Cellular Burden
Compared with conventional calcium phosphate transfection methods, PerFect uses a lower calcium concentration to reduce the potential adverse effects of high concentrations of calcium salts on cell condition while maintaining good DNA transfection efficiency, making it more suitable for experiments requiring good cell viability and cellular status.
Efficient DNA Transfection
PerFect effectively promotes DNA condensation and cellular uptake and provides good DNA transfection efficiency in a variety of mammalian cells. It is suitable for routine plasmid expression, reporter gene assays, protein expression, and gene function studies.
Supports Both Transient and Stable Transfection
PerFect is suitable for both transient and stable DNA transfection. Transient transfection is suitable for short-term gene expression and reporter gene assays, while stable transfection can be used for stable cell line generation, long-term gene expression, and functional studies.
Simple Operation
PerFect uses a pre-optimized formulation and simplifies the conventional calcium phosphate transfection workflow through a single-tube reaction. No complicated precipitation formation steps are required, helping reduce variations caused by manual operation and improve experimental reproducibility.
Storage Conditions:
Store at 4°C. When stored properly, the product can remain stable for 12 months or longer.
PerFect is broadly compatible with a variety of tumor cells and cell lines, including HeLa, 293FT, and U2OS.
