Product Introduction
PolyPer plus is an upgraded formulation of the original PolyPer Transfection Reagent, featuring a new chemical synthesis method to further optimize the DNA delivery system. Compared with the previous-generation product, PolyPer plus enables a higher proportion of DNA Condensing Groups to be released, increasing from approximately 80% to 100% in the original formulation. This enhances the interaction between the transfection reagent and negatively charged DNA, thereby improving DNA condensation and transfection complex formation.
During transfection, PolyPer plus interacts with plasmid DNA and condenses the DNA into DNA–transfection reagent complexes suitable for cellular uptake. The resulting complexes facilitate interactions between DNA and the cell membrane and enter cells through cellular uptake, enabling intracellular DNA delivery and subsequent gene expression. By increasing the effective release of DNA Condensing Groups, PolyPer plus further improves DNA complex formation and delivery.
PolyPer plus is compatible with DNA constructs of different sizes and can be used for the delivery of large DNA constructs of up to approximately 180 kb.
Product Features
Ø Enhanced DNA Transfection Efficiency: PolyPer plus maintains good cell compatibility while providing approximately 3–4-fold higher transfection efficiency, depending on the cell type. This upgrade makes it particularly suitable for experiments requiring high DNA transfection efficiency and for hard-to-transfect cells that exhibit relatively low transfection efficiency with conventional methods.
Ø Serum and Antibiotic Compatibility: PolyPer plus is compatible with serum and antibiotics. In most cell types, DNA transfection can be performed under standard culture conditions containing serum and antibiotics while maintaining good transfection performance. This feature reduces the need to replace the culture medium or modify culture conditions during transfection, helping maintain a stable cellular environment.
Ø High-Efficiency DNA Delivery and Gene Expression: Efficient DNA delivery makes PolyPer plus suitable for experiments requiring high levels of exogenous gene expression. Efficient plasmid DNA delivery can support high-level expression of recombinant proteins, antibodies, and other exogenous proteins, making it suitable for protein function studies, reporter gene assays, gene expression analysis, and other applications requiring transient gene expression.
Ø Cost-Effective: PolyPer plus also offers high cost efficiency. 1.0 mL of reagent supports approximately 667 transfections in a 24-well plate or approximately 333 transfections in a 6-well plate. The high number of reactions supported per unit volume helps reduce the cost per DNA transfection and makes PolyPer plus suitable for routine cell experiments, repeated experiments, and large-scale DNA transfection studies using multi-well plates.

Storage Conditions
Store at 4°C. When stored under the recommended conditions, the product can remain stable for 12 months or longer.
PolyPer plus is suitable for common mammalian cell lines, primary cells, and hard-to-transfect cells, and also performs well in suspension 293 cells. The table below lists representative cell types that have been validated to date. In addition to the cells listed in the table, other mammalian cells may also be suitable for transfection. Actual performance depends on the cell type, culture conditions, and transfection parameters; optimization for the specific cell type is recommended.
